During a 3 ½ year lead pastor stint at a beautiful country church in the Southern Tier of NY, I was introduced to a hometown hero. This hometown hero our church supported as a missionary, but not any kind of missionary. He was an FCA staff member in Florida’s Treasure Coast. What a joy it was to sit down with him and hear what he was part of and the fruit of his life serving with FCA. This was contagious for me as a father of three of my own athletes. This idea of them being part of something that could impact their school and region was so exciting.

Fast forward to four years later we found our family feeling the tug back to the Rochester area. The first thing I looked for was a role with FCA, but the Lord had something in store that was still in the incubation phase. This was the idea of a Metro Director with an intentional focus on building specifically in the city of Rochester. While I am new to FCA, I am already on board with the reach that a coach has on an athlete and an athlete has on their peers. I am so excited to be coming on to build a team to serve the city of Rochester. I am passionate to see Rochester impacted by the Kingdom of God through FCA! Rochester has a rich revival culture. How great it would be to see a movement that gets sparked into a flame from the youth athletes of this city!
